I work in dance, theatre, music theatre, and opera, creating and facilitating powerful and meaningful experiences for audiences, participants, and performers. I am endlessly fascinated by our bodies’ potential for storytelling and communication.

I direct movement-based work, I choreograph, I perform, and I teach. I love the range and variety of my work: from large scale performances at major venues to small scale rural touring in village halls, performances by large casts to solos and duets , black box to unconventional spaces, and work with and for young people, l take every opportunity to bring dance to new audiences and help people experience movement in new and surprising ways. I want to change the way we look at dance, theatre, and music theatre, combining those forms in new and fresh ways.

I produce and tour my own pieces - you can find out more on my performance page - and undertake commissions and collaborations with companies such as Cahoots NI, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and British Youth Music Theatre UK. I work with thousands of young people (and their teachers) each year through projects such as Inspire and as a previous Head of Movement and Dance for Theatretrain; and am always looking for new opportunities to collaborate, create, and facilitate. I'm currently Head of Movement at GSA where I am a Lecturer in Dance and Movement and wrote and lead the new MA/MFA Movement Direction Programme.

I’ve travelled all over the world: so far around the UK, to Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, Norway, Ireland, France, China, and South Africa. I’d love to add more countries to that list, so if you want to invite me, get in touch!

Movement is one of the most powerful ways to connect and communicate. My process is challenging and sometimes difficult, but also kind and supportive: I believe the best way to make great art is to inspire, nurture, and support. This is a philosophy I’ve taken into my work with young people, and I believe it holds true for professional performers too.

Making dance is my way of changing my small corner of the world: bringing people together to explore, enquire, and expand our ideas, and sharing my love of movement and its power to communicate with as many people as possible.

I trained at London Contemporary Dance School, graduating in 2006, and in 2009 was selected for a unique choreographic programme, Dance Beyond Borders, which took me to Germany, Belgium, Portugal, as well as the UK. In 2015 I was awarded an Independent Artist award to attend the Clore Leadership Programme Emerging Leaders Course.  I have an MFA in Choreography Trinity Laban, where I was a Leverhulme Arts Scholar. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, an Associate of the Institute for Leadership and Management, and a Consent Forward Artist Certified by IDC.

I live and work primarily in London, Surrey, and East Kent.
